Every Thursday night, the Austin Swing Syndicate holds a dance at the Texas Federation of Women's Clubs. We have the privilege of dancing in one of the best ballrooms anywhere on a weekly basis. Intro classes at 8:15 (Free with paid admission!) $5 members / $7 non-members 2 rooms for dancing. Band starts at 9:00 pm.

Austin Blues Association of Austin is holding a late night pre-party at Kick Butt Coffee. This event is free to all.

Ruta Maya

Ruta Maya is a local coffee shop that roasts its own beans. In addition to finding tasty drinks, the shop also sells food made locally be different business. The Welcome Dance is a great place for travelers to meet their hosts after they get out of work.

The Continental Club

In case you haven't heard, Austin is the capital of Live Music. We can listen to great music every night of the week. The Continental Club is a favorite venue on Mondays. Well this Friday, The Blues Specialists will be playing there for free during happy hour. If you are looking for something to do between the afternoon dance and the evening dance, be sure to check this out. Note: Venue is always 21+. No one under the age of 21 will be allowed in.

Friday night will be a real trifecta for all music lovers as we will have 3 rooms of dancing at Austinites all time favorite dance venue. Our amazing DJ's will be playing moderate swing tempos in the main ballroom, Giant City Quartet will be playing up-tempo music in the Georgia Room, and Gator Child will be playing super slow blues in the Art Gallery. Both bands will start at 9:00 pm.

Buffalo Billiards

This used to be one of Austins weekly venues. We are happy to bring it back for our afternoon venue for ALX ten. There will be dancing, pool, video games, and TV's to watch football. With that in mind, there is a home UT football game on Saturday at 7:00 pm. While you won't have a problem getting to Buffalo Billiards, I expect a lot of fans to be down town. After the dance should be a great time to experience Austin's famous 6th street.

There will be a cash bar. Anyone under the age of 21 must stay on the 2nd floor where the private party is located.

Central Market North

Central Market is one of Austinites favorite grocery stores filled with lots of prepared foods and a cafe. Come to this event to grab Sunday lunch and dance a little before heading to the afternoon event. This event is free as it is sponsored by Central Market. The Jitterbug Vipers will be playing.

Zilker Club House
200 Zilker Clubhouse Road , Austin, TX

We had great fortune to secure this venue for ALX Ten. The club house is tucked away in Zilker Park over looking Lady Bird Lake (Town Lake) and the sky line of downtown Austin. If you haven't been to Austin in a year, you are in for a treat as the sky line is continually changing.

No food will be provided at late night as there is food available for sale by Ruta Maya.
