Bands
We’re so proud that every single one of our bands comes straight from Austin’s incredible jazz scene. This city is overflowing with world-class talent, and we’re beyond lucky to have these musicians not only in our hometown, but in our community.
Each band brings its own unique style and energy to the floor, and together they create the heartbeat of the weekend. Even more than their music, we’re grateful for the amazing humans behind the instruments - artists who pour their joy, creativity, and soul into every note.
Rent Party
Rent Party hit the Austin swing jazz scene in 2015 and has since played countless bars, clubs, dances and private events in the city and beyond.
Comprised of an eclectic group of Austin transplants, Rent Party brings a unique blend of players from varied musical backgrounds and influences. This diversity manifests in a fresh blend of hot jazz, vintage swing, and jazz manouche.
In 2020 Rent Party released their first full length album "High Five and Rotate" containing a fresh mix of original tunes and classic jazz standards.
Waller Creek Vipers
The Waller Creek Vipers started in 2014 with the celebration of Frankie Manning's Centennial and has been going strong ever since. Bandleader Vic Celania has been a lindy hop and balboa dancer, event organizer, and dj for over 20 years and started the band with a desire to try something new and learn a skill. Little did he know how much the band would become part of his life and identity. He's enjoyed bringing his brand of energetic swing music to audiences for over a decade and looks forward to blowing your socks off!
Vintage Ties Jazz Band
Vintage Ties Jazz Band brings you the hot riffs and sweet melodies from 1930s and 40s dance halls. Inspired by the driving sounds of small groups and big band orchestras alike, the group weaves an intricate web of tight arrangements and free-spirited improvisation for an authentic and unforgettable dancing and listening experience. An all-star lineup of Austin musicians led by a Lindy-Hopper-turned-musician, Misha Zvonkin, knows how to pack a punch and can’t wait to light up your night of dancing!
